教授，男，1941年2月生于上海。
1963年毕业于中国科学技术大学化学物理系,留校工作至今；
1980－1982在美国犹他大学化学系进修；
1982-1987任近代化学系付主任；
1987-1996任化学物理系主任；
1996-1999任化学与材料科学学院院长。
长期从事激光化学和分子反应动力学教学和研究工作。目前开展
离子激发态光譜和dna光复活机理两项研究.
中科院重大科技成果一等奖一项；
安徽省自然科学二等奖一项；
安徽省优秀教学成果一等奖一项；
中科院优秀教学成果二等奖一项；
宝钢优秀教师奖；
教育系统全国劳动模范。
